Brief History

APS Ahmedabad an English medium Co – educational school , was established in July 1992 with a strength of 245 students from classes I to VIII . Earlier the school was functioning from the building which is presently run by SAPS ( Saurya Army Pre – Primary School ) . As the strength of students and staff increased, the school was shifted to the present location . i.e camp Hanuman , in 1992 with ample open space where students can interact with nature , class X was added in the session 1994 – 95 while class XII (Science) in the session 1998 – 99 commerce stream for class XI has been commenced with effect from the academic session 2008 – 09 . As on date the strength of students in the school is 1558. The school is governed by AWES, AG’s Br, Army HQ is accordance with the guide line given in AWES Rules and Regulation (2019) and managed by the school Managing committee.

About us

APS, Ahmedabad aims to be an institution to prepare yearning minds to act as responsible leaders with a sense of integrity and honesty providing opportunities of successful learning and growth. Besides encouraging academic excellence, the students are stimulated to develop their creative talents. The school endeavors to inculcate among the students the subline elements of preserving Indian culture and value system. Students are introduced to the rich spiritual heritage which transcends the narrow limits of caste, colour , language and creed.

Campus

The School campus is housed on open green areas and walkways with generous tree cover as well as ample space for students to relax, play and study . Normally students spend the formal teaching day working to a time table structured around the main disciplines. These lessons take place in the class room, the laboratories or in a specialized space for music , dance and yoga. Additionally students undertake field work from time to time in our school herbal garden.

Every day, the school holds morning assembly for the whole student body. This is led by the Principal. Students are encouraged to use these occasions to make their own presentations and to lead others in performances. Further more every weekend, the school organizes a cultural event which reflects the diversity of the students.

The students of our school have brought laurels to the school not only in academics but also in the field of sports, art, oratory skills and other cultural activities.

Our students represent myriad states and background from around the country. The school endeavors hard to cater to their needs. We firmly believe that our students are like clay that is to be moulded and embedded with good virtues and skills. We provide them technology aided learning to meet the challenges of this competitive world.
